Welcome to my Blog!

Posted on June 26, 2020August 14, 2020 by Emily R

Well, hello there! Glad you could make it!

Two different but similar puzzles

If you haven’t already read my About Me page, please take a moment so you can get a feel of what I’m trying to do. I’m on a journey to discover myself by sifting through “pieces of a puzzle” that make up my life. Each of us has our own puzzle pieces of life which makes us unique.

For example, I have two sets of jigsaw puzzles that at a distance look remarkably similar. But closer up, differences can be seen. Yet both have a theme of doors and windows. Both are unique in their own way.  As human beings, we all have similar puzzle pieces or experiences. While at the same time, we have a diversity of “styles” making each of us unique. The concept of the blog will be framed within different “puzzle pieces” such as:

The Journey Puzzler – will be where I track my journey. I will talk about what’s happening now. I guess it can be considered sort of a diary.

The Puzzle Within Us – is where you can find quotes and thoughts that speak to your inner self. How many times have you read a quote or a thought that speak to you? If you’re like me – many times! There comes a moment when you realize how much they were instrumental in making you who you are. Once you realize it, you start sharing them with others.

An assortment of perspectives connect to form one

Puzzling Moments… – this section deals with moments or ideas that contradict themselves. Like when you don’t need something, and you see it everywhere. But when you need it, you can never find it! Why does it happen? I’m sure you have asked yourself the same question!

Things Happen for a Reason – will feature moments (or actions) that lead you to a whole new situation you never imagined. Or refer to a moment in time that prepared you for something new or different. My previous negative experience with the father of my kids helped me appreciate even more my marriage with my loving husband of 19 years. (My husband is the step-father of my kids). Our experience together is a heaven on earth with a few rough spots, but mostly blissful moments.

Why Rochester, NY? – The focus on Rochester is because it’s where everything is happening. Where every puzzle piece is fitting together for me now! Besides, it’s a great place to live in. I want my community to know it!

I hope you will join me on this journey, so it won’t feel lonely on the road. A journey to “break apart”my life into puzzle pieces, and then put them together again to see the big picture! I want to compare it to my life today.

My wish is that you too will start your own journey of finding your puzzle pieces to put them together. See what you get. We can share each other’s findings if you like. Catch up with you down the path!

Meet you down the road!

We can meet on the comments below! Have fun sharing!

Thank you! That means a lot to me, especially in today’s world where it’s hard to be unique!

It’s refreshing to read such honesty about our life’s journeys. This is going to help a lot of people figure things out much faster. Good job!

I have learned many lessons in the school of Life. I want to share them. I don’t want to take these lessons to the grave with me. What’s the use of going through the process of learning them if you don’t share them so others can benefit also!
